Couples who aren’t able to use their sperm or eggs have the option of embryo adoption. These are embryos donated by other couples, usually because they have already fulfilled their desires of having children and do not wish to have any more. The medical team will seek the greatest phenotypic and immunological similarities for the recipient. The whole process will be anonymous, for both the donors and the recipients.
